BiOGRAPHY
Mr. Armand Morris has a deep background in illustration and design. For him, creativity is a way of life. He is a skilled illustrator with a deep passion for graphic design. For the past ten years he has focused on computerized art, multimedia print marketing, and content management systems development. Mr. Morris served as the Director of Graphic Communication for Chicago State University for over six years, and his work has led him down several avenues, including teaching and developing graphic design curriculums and print manufacturing of children’s and teachers' workbooks in Ghana, Africa. He studied art and design at the University of Missouri-Columbia and at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He later received his Bachelors of Art at Chicago State University and is currently seeking a Masters of Education with a concentration in Higher Education Administration at Northeastern University, with which he hopes to enhance technology, governance, and operations in educational institutions. Currently, Mr. Morris has joined Little Black Pearl Art & Design Center as the Technology Coordinator for their new Best Buy Teen Tech Center. He is also now the Career Technology Teacher for Little Black Pearl Art & Design Academy. His curriculum is centered around introductory Graphic Design and Film Making courses to high school aged students. He hopes to advance his work with youth while being able to help sharpen their skills and creativity with technology.
